Why STEMPower Day?
As Florida's STEM University™, Florida Tech wants to make sure that every K-12 student in Brevard County with a talent or affinity for STEM subjects feels encouraged to stay interested, to one day pursue higher education in a STEM field, and to understand that there will be an exciting STEM job waiting for them after they graduate. And that's what STEMPower Day is all about!
STEMPower Day guests will experience hands-on science stations hosted by Florida Tech students, faculty, and local leaders representing some of the Space Coast's top STEM employers. In addition, guests can select from a variety of interactive STEM workshops hosted by Florida Tech's amazing professors. Industry partners will be featured volunteers at the hands-on STEM stations, assisting K-12 students with the curriculum provided by Florida Tech student groups and Florida Tech’s CAMID.
Sessions & Activities
STEMPower Day will feature 20+ engaging and interactive sessions taught by world experts on a wide array of topics such as space, aviation, engineering, psychology, cybersecurity, biology, earth science, and innovation. In addition, the event will feature several inspirational talks on a variety of science-y topics.

Guests are also invited to purchase a meal in our award-winning, all-you-care-to-eat Panther Dining Hall, or at the Firehouse Subs, Einstein Bagels, and Cosmic Creamery counters in the Denius Student Center. Food options are "pay on your own," so please plan accordingly.
