Seeking community partners to help build a more diverse and stable workforce through scholarship
The Women In Defense Space Coast Chapter (WIDSC) was founded in January 2013. Our primary objective is to provide networking and professional development opportunities to promote the role of women in the national defense and security environments, to support military Service members, and to encourage partnerships between the contractor community and Department of Defense (DOD) and Federal agencies in Florida’s Space Coast community. Our region has historically enjoyed expanded growth and enhanced business opportunities for technology integration companies moving into the region to support the marketplace.
We strive to actively promote women for key leadership and technical positions throughout the region, and we focus on giving back to our local communities through participation and promotion of charitable initiatives to include scholarships for women wishing to pursue studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to further their careers. We have several levels of corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities to help you promote your company year-round to a group of leading industry professionals and leaders in our community.
Expected attendance: 35-50 / monthly
Audience: WIDSC membership, industry and community leaders, government and military professionals
