Our Space Coast community depends on a dynamic defense-related marketplace and workforce.  Through our affiliation with NDIA (National Defense Industrial Association), WIDSC is proud to nurture opportunities for women’s roles in national defense and security, to support military service members, and to encourage partnerships within the local contractor community, defense industry and military personnel. 

When our Chapter began in 2013, we were quick to recognize our role as a leading supporter and promoter of STEM education and professional development on the Space Coast to help meet the needs of NASA, the US Space Force, US Navy and Coast Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, and hundreds of private businesses and government contractors that rely on a diverse and stable workforce.

We started by creating the WID Space Coast STEM Scholarship Fund to provide financial support to local women pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to advance their professional careers. We’ve since raised over $60,000 in scholarships through community events, public outreach, and strategic partnerships.
